OPEPP consultant Sheri McClurg is a familiar face to many Ohio educators—and for good reason. As the leader of OPEPP’s first Educational Service Center (ESC) partnership, Sheri has helped pave the way for stronger, more connected professional learning opportunities for paraeducators across the state.
This fall, Sheri will be working as a consultant with Franklin City Schools. She is also leading two of OPEPP’s most popular offerings: the Helping with Instruction Workshop (returning in December) and the TIPS for Relationships workshop, offered throughout November. Both provide practical tools for paraprofessionals to strengthen instruction, build meaningful relationships, and support students’ academic and emotional growth.
Sheri also presented at the OPEPP Fall Academy, highlighting how the Fairfield County ESC’s partnership with OPEPP is transforming outcomes for paraeducators and students alike.
Beyond her consulting role, Sheri serves as the Executive Director of Student Services at the Fairfield County ESC. With more than 20 years of experience in administration and special education, she has worked in both large suburban and small rural districts across Central Ohio. She is deeply dedicated to collaborating with educators to enhance their skills and ensure that students of all abilities thrive.
“Paraprofessionals are at the heart of student learning,” Sheri reflects. “When they feel supported and confident, the entire classroom thrives.”
