The self-assessment in the Introductory Challenge asked you to rate your own use of metacognitive strategies. You have probably already started work to expand your toolkit of metacognitive strategies. The following chart is a framework to help you plan steps for learning and using other metacognitive strategies.

You can also work with a student to complete the self-assessment in the Introductory Challenge. Use it as a starting point for helping the student plan to use one or more metacognitive strategies.
