Holly Burgess

Holly Burgess is a dedicated educator with 19 years of experience, currently serving as the Director of Teaching and Learning at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC). In addition to supporting paraprofessionals in her region, Holly supports 12 public school districts across four counties, focusing on curriculum development, professional learning, literacy support, and overall school systems enhancement.

Before joining SOESC, Holly spent 13 years as an elementary teacher at Mason City Schools and four years as a Title Reading Teacher at Hillsboro City Schools. She holds a master’s degree in Literacy and is a certified Structured Literacy Specialist. Holly has a passion for literacy and takes great pride in collaborating with multiple school districts to improve educational outcomes.  She really enjoys her work with OPEPP and supporting the many paraprofessionals in her region.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Holly is a devoted wife and proud mother of two teenage boys.
