This series includes modules designed specifically for paraeducators and other school support staff who want to deepen their understanding and strengthen their skills to help create learning environments where students’ cultural, linguistic, and ethnic identities are honored and valued.
Multilingual learners (MLs), often referred to as English learners, are the fastest-growing student population in the country. Yet, they continue to be an underserved group in need of meaningful support and access to opportunities that foster academic success. Paraeducators play an essential role in providing this support.
Our goal is to give you the knowledge, tools, and reflective opportunities needed to better understand MLs’ unique strengths and needs and to support them effectively in classrooms, schools, and communities.
