My name is Emelin, and I am currently an Intervention Specialist and Montessorian at a private Montessori school in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. I hold a bachelor's degree in Montessori Education (ages 3–6) and a master's degree in Special Education (kindergarten through 5th grade). I have four years of teaching experience, including teaching religion to young children, working as an assistant teacher from preschool through middle school, and serving as a Montessori Intervention Specialist. I am excited to share insights on bilingual support in the classroom for students whose first language is not English. Drawing from my experience working with Multilingual Learners (MLs) and my own perspective as a former ML student, I aim to provide valuable insight and strategies for paraprofessionals and educators supporting multilingual learners.
